This has to be my favorite photo of the trip. I was taking the previous photo — Elmo waving to the crew, when the Captain saw what was happening and said “Hey! That’s awesome! Hey, get in there and get some photos in the cockpit!”
He ushered me in, and shouted to his First Officer to take a couple of pictures with me and Elmo, and suggested flipping a test switch so that the lights would all come up, and even held Elmo out for his photo.
I was offered the chance to sit in the Captain’s seat (which I politely declined). My thanks again to the crew of Southwest Airlines flight 4783, on Sunday Dec 10, 2017. You certainly made my day, and I think Iva enjoyed the photos that you made possible too!
