Yesterday we had the joy of celebrating Iva’s First Christmas, and what a joy it was!
This entire week has been a blast. We’ve had Iva interacting more directly with Crash, trying to learn nice touching and trying (in vain) to prevent the hair pulling. Fortunately, Crash is somewhat sadistic and just lets it go. She’s started interacting more with her toys, especially the monsters.
We had a couple of story-time moments with momblob on the floor, and we even went to see the lights in the Town Center — though Iva slept through it.
Uncle Daniel came visiting from Australia, and was excited to see Iva hitting a developmental milestone (Stranger Danger), even if it meant she cried when he held her.
As for Christmas, momblob didn’t feel too good on Christmas eve. She got herself rested, and felt much better on Christmas day. Not perfect, but better.
These last two days have almost been a blur. So many friends, so many family, so many presents and new experiences!
A special thanks to everyone who went out of their way to make the day special, or give us gifts – we love them all.
If we didn’t get to see you, hopefully we’ll catch up soon. We’re still figuring out plans for New Year’s Eve, but if we don’t catch up in what’s left of 2015, there’s always 2016!
