Not unexpectedly, we’ve had a number of developmental milestones recently.
She finally managed to grab her foot (after many failed attempts), and was quite proud of herself!
She’s managed to get her heavy head under control, and lifts it quite high in tummy-time. It can still wobble a lot while walking, but that’s also expected.
Many more are not pictured, or not picture-able. In the bath, she’s noticed the mirror. I’m not sure if she’s figured out that it’s her, but she has made much eye contact with the other baby also being bathed. She’s learned to smile and laugh, and it’s not uncommon to come home from work, and get a big smile when she sees me. She also responds well to some of the ‘games’ I created, like walking a hand up her torso and then jumping to touch a part of her face, each of which has an associated sound, like her nose which is “bop!”
Although the amount of work in caring hasn’t changed much, the reward is increasing. Not only is she clearly growing, she’s responding positively to some of the things we do.
