Arlington National Cemetery

One of the few specific places that Nana and Grandad wanted to visit was Arlington National Cemetery, and the tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. It’s one of those world famous locations that is often seen in TV programs or movies, and they wanted to see it in person.

I was stuck at daycare, but Dadblob took them. The place is huge, and parking is on the opposite side of the campus. It was a long walk up to the tomb, but it was worth it.

On the way back we passed by a large headstone with Nana’s maiden name, Lamberton. We don’t know anything about the person (including their first name), but chances are there is some relation somewhere up the family tree. We also stopped to see John F. Kennedy’s grave.
