Yesterday Iva received her second international package, this time a gift from my Aunt and Uncle and cousins back home. It contained an awesome kitty hat, which I’m sure Iva will enjoy once she grows a little more, and her first book from New Zealand. Lynley Dodd is one of my favorite authors, mostly for the Hairy Maclary series (of which Slinky Malinki is a member). It’s a cute book, and having read it today I can imagine it applying to Iva herself at this point — waking up, waking everyone up, and once everyone is up and awake for the day (whether they want to be or not), goes back to bed.
